"So, what shall we do today KJ?"

"Well by the taste of the dirt and the looks of the grass, I think we should mow!"

"Mom, does she think I'm really going to work?"

"KJ, you supervise, while I mow this grass right here,k!"

"Whatch out now, I have to mow over there in a minute!"

"Oh man, this is more work that I thought it was going to be!"

"I DON"T WANT TO MOW ANYMORE!!!"

"Mom!! Just give me some water, PLLLLEASE!"

Finally, some water!!!

So, yesterday afternoon it was really nice outside. It reached 60 degrees!! Sophia, KJ and I were loving it! We went out back and played for a bit. I even fed the birds. I think the birds know when you fill up the feeder because I watched about twenty birds swarm all over that feeder once there was food in it. Anyway, Happy New Year's Eve everyone!!!

WOW, for some reason this post was really tough.. I need to check my settings... I was trying to make a short story of Sophia having tea, egss with KJ and driving herself to the grocery store and then grocery shopping... I was going to get some pictures of her cooking in her kitchen but my model (Sophia) needed a nap.

short story to be continued... I love vacation... I could do this more often if I had this kind of time every day! ha ha!!

Well - it's almost Christmas day and WOW what a year. I am about 99% sure daddy will be home but there is always that little feeling of doubt...

So, I am going to plan on him being here. In preparation; I went to publix and ordered some food trays. We will pick them up Christmas Eve. That way we can have "pre-made" stuff if he doesn't want to go anywhere for a turkey dinner. We have an invitation to Robin and Michaels and Andi's house. But I have a feeling Mike isn't going to want to leave our house; who knows he might surprise me and want to do something....

This has been one heck of a holiday season. I am looking forward to a little time together - just us; Mike, Kim, Sophia and KJ. So, don't be surprised if you try to call us and find out our phones are turned off :) ha ha! Just kidding....

Andi had the best idea! She said, make some cookies or something so you can get Mike into the Christmas spirit!! That reminded me of a "cookie story" from last year around this time. I think I will share the story. Well, Mike had been gone for a couple months and I wanted to do something special for him. I wanted to make some cookies for him from scratch! We have a recipe from some neighbors of ours. I made three batches of these cookies and screwed up every single batch!!! When Mike got home, he made a batch and on the first try - they were awesome ;-) I guess I was missing something when I was making them and that something was him.

Just to be a little sappy- I miss my husband when he is away and I am miserable without him; not to mention Sophia! She misses him too, when people say a one year old doesn't know that daddy is gone is rudely mistaken!! I am here to tell you that my one year old knows Daddy isn't home and she misses him. KJ also misses him and knows when he is away. I am so proud of him and his career. But come May 2nd 2010, Mike will be married to ME(not the navy), he will be a FULL-time father to Sophia and KJ; and he will have the opportunity to pursue a new career path.

I think that's when our honeymoon phase will start :-) ha ha!!! Sigh, good bye 2009!!!!! I think this Bing Crosby Christmas cd that I am listening too is making me mushy.... LOL!

Phew... 3 Birthday parties a Thanksgiving celebration later....

Well people we made it through Sophia's first year!! She had 3 birthday parties... 5 cakes.... lots of visitors and presents but most of all. Sophia brought alot of family together for her birthday and that is what's important! She is very blessed and loved by many and I can only pray that the rest of her life will be filled with just as much love and blessings....:-) I am going to bed now.. Mommy is POOPED!
