Well, i got my test results back from the doctor and the sugar test results were great! I scored a 96! They want it to be less than 139.
They also checked me for anemia and come to find out I scored a 10.8 which was LOW... so now I'm on an iron supplement. Maybe that will help me get some energy back, we shall see!!! I think it's low because I haven't had that much steak lately... since I can't eat it bloody, then I really don't want it :( I can't make myself eat a well done steak.
I head back to the doctor in 2 weeks on September 9th-I'm on a 2 week rotation now-and I will keep you guys posted on anything else new that comes up!
Have a great holiday weekend!!!!
This blog helps us share our lives with those we love.

What a week! We had the 3-D ultrasound, which was fantastic!!!! Then we had the birthing class last night and that was educational, like always :) We are taking pictures tonight and then tomorrow we go back to the doctor for more peeing and blood drawing. I have to take my sugar test tomorrow too.
I wonder how much I'm going to weigh tomorrow. I got on the scale at work today and it said 163. If that was accurate than I only gained another 4 pounds. LOL! We will see what the scale says tomorrow!!!
A little update on Sophia - she is weighing in at 2 pounds 4 ounces! She is right on schedule as far as her measurements are concerned. She kicks me pretty regularly; She seems to be "awake" in the mornings from 7:00 ish - 9:00ish. Then she takes a little nap and wakes back up around 11:00 and stays up until 2:30ish.... she takes another nap and wakes back up in the evening time around 8:00ish and stays up til 10:00 or 11:00. :) I love feeling her move and wiggle around. She entertains me every day!!!
Oh another thing, I guess because she is sitting so low and her head is already in the "down" position; she puts quite a bit of pressure on my pelvic bones and hips..... so that makes sleeping a little bit difficult because my hips will start aching while I'm sleeping and it usually wakes me up, which wakes Mike up; which wakes KJ up!!!! It's so bad for them because they don't get any sleep either!!!! Ok- I guess that's it. Dinner is ready so I gotta go!

27 weeks and 0 days ;-)

Here's the latest and the greatest of the belly picture. There's nothing really new to report other than I am guessing I am in my 3rd trimester now. That's pretty cool. Some books say 27 weeks = 3rd trimester and some books say 28 weeks= 3rd trimester so I have to ask myself, in the grand scheme of things what's one week... so I will say I'm in the 3rd trimester this week and next week and the following weeks until the baby is born. HA!

26 weeks or 6 1/2 months preggo :)

Here we are!!! I'm definitely getting bigger by the day and I can feel Sophia move A LOT more that is freaking awesome!!
Last night - I went to our first child birth class and it was pretty interesting. It was at the hospital and we were able to tour the maternity ward and just "check things out." I learned quite a bit about the hospital and the way things will go down during the delivery. Come to find out, the baby will be staying with us in our room once she is born - I think this is completely awesome!
Oh, there are 5 pregnant women in the class (including partners). I am the second oldest ;-) There is one lady that is older than me and she is 40!! The other ladies seem to be quite a bit younger than me, which is ok too!! So, we have 4 more classes to go to and hopefully Mike can go to a couple of them.

25 weeks - saying good bye to second trimester....

Ok, here's the pictures from today and here are some of the nursery. We still have some work to do in there but it's definitely coming along....
We are going for our 3D ultrasound on August 26th!!! I'm so excited about that, I can't wait to see her!!! Then I have to go back to my regular OB-GYN on August 28th... I'm going every 3 weeks now.
Ok, so this week, I had to take the pictures. I'm sorry if they aren't that good but Mike had to work and I knew I had to upload the latest pictures of my ever growing belly :)
Today was my regular doctor pee in a cup & jump on the scale.... it went well considering my blood pressure was 120/60, my uterus has grown and is the size of a basketball, everything checked out good with the pee pee too:) Also, I heard little Sophia's beating heart!! It was in the 140's again and she was just as active as ever!! The midwife had to chase her around with the doppler to get a good sound of her heart beat!! ha ha! It was funny ;-)
Then there came the dreaded scale.... ugggg!!! For me, this is the ugly side of pregnancy - the WEIGHT GAIN!!! I weighed in at 159 lbs!!! For a total of 33 pounds so far and I have one week left of my second trimester. Well, the midwife wanted to know why I was gaining so much weight! How in the hell do I know, I have been exercising and I eat when I'm hungry. I guess the bad part is that I've gained 21 pounds in the last 2 months. So, she wants me to keep a journal of what I've been eating and I think that's bull crap!! I'm not going to start doing that until after the baby is born and I have to really worry about loosing weight. I think that if I let this weight gain issue consume me while I'm pregnant than it will affect Sophia and I don't want that at all. I want her healthy and happy! So, I will carry on as if I didn't have that conversation with the midwife. :)

Oh, we are going to save Sophia's Cord blood. If you want to know more about it go to http://www.cordblood.com/ .
