Picture day!!!

Just a little update on Sophia's favorites so far, when I comes to school. She loves riding the bus!!! I can't believe it! This girl is to funny... I thought she would be "over" the bus by now... OH NO... she's just getting into it. She loves the bus and the cafeteria. :) I know... what does everyone usually NOT like about school? The bus and the cafeteria :) I'm chalking this up to the fact that she gets to be fully, almost fully, independent when she's on the bus and in the lunchroom. For example, she doesn't have to wear a seat belt or use a car seat on the bus! WOW, score for her! ha ha! Then when she gets to the cafeteria, she gets to put her number in the computer and pick out her lunch! Score again for team independence. :)
 It's picture day!!

Just working on our smile :)

This is her schoolwork from yesterday. She used the computer to write her name and her ABCD's. :) Then she drew a picture of her, KJ, Mittens and the sunshine :)

School work for Sophia, a hospital visit for Giuliana and a birthday for KJ!

Well, this week started off eventful! First of all Sophia picked again to be the secret walker at school!
She's loving school! Well, technically she's loving the school bus and the lunchroom. :) She wanted to eat lunch and breakfast at school. So Mommy is off the hook for making her breakfast and lunch :(

Yesterday was KJ's birthday!! He turned 9!! We're going to make him some pup cakes this weekend :)
Then yesterday, I didn't sleep very well at all. I kept waking up every hour from about midnight until 6 with some sharp lower abdominal pains.... mild contractions but nothing to painful. So, I called the doctor yesterday and she told me to go to L&D. We went and come to find out, the contractions were not causing me to go into preterm labor (Thank God!) and the lower abdominal pain is because the elasticity in my stomach muscles isn't that elastic anymore. So, as Giuliana grows.... she will just sit on those muscles and they will try to hold her up which will cause pains for me. Phew, we dodged a bullet on this one!!

Last weekend we had some company! Gamma, Aunt Mary and Adilyn came up for a visit!

Sophia made Adilyn some cookies!!! She used her easy bake oven to make little cookies for her ;)
The girls went swimming!! Look at that baby butt! It was definitely a hot day on Saturday!!

Gamma and Adilyn hanging out after some pool time!

Here's the C-man making his debut! We had to get him up here to play with the girls!

And although hot and humid! It was a good day and Sophia said, " We partied Mommy!" :)

Schoooooool work!

Sophia's pretty excited about Friday's...

If she's good all week for her teacher, Mrs. Woods has a behavior status sheet that's color coded and it's updated daily so the parents can see how their child acted that day! So we can monitor if she's being good! So, Sophia has been good this week and she's eaten her dinner every night so she gets ice cream on Friday!

Here's some school work:

School work continues....

Sophia is loving school, she told me that school goes by so fast! Which is different from when she went to school before... :)

A little funny from dinner last night... so we all sat down for dinner and I asked Soph, "So, what was your highlight of the day?" She quickly responded with, " red" :) Well, they used a highlighter and highlighted the word "red". ha ha!

Here's her numbers:
This girl loves being the leader, it doesn't matter which leader, just a LEADER!
And, we have our first fundraiser kicking off!! Cookie sales and memory maker stuff such as photo albums, calendar's and memorabilia!

School work update!!

Working on our lower case a's! Check out Sophia's name! She's been writing it like this SophiA (capital A). Because the capital A is easier than the lower case a. But, she's been working every day when she gets home, as her homework she works on her lower case a's, her sight words for the week and writes her letters for the week. Then as a bonus, she practices tying her shoes... She wraps all that up in about 20 or 30 minutes depending on her level of effort :)

Sophia read and colored a book at school :)

Sophia's school work and Giuliana listens to Guns-n-Roses!

So, here's Sophia's school work from yesterday.... she knows the alphabet so I'm not sure why she missed two letters... other than this is week #2 of school and she's still getting into the groove of things:)
And, for Giuliana...She's been in my belly for 28 weeks and 3 days!! She's doing great and we jammed out to Guns n Roses on the way to the doctor appointment today. I think she liked it because she was moving all over the place in my belly! Her heart rate is normal and she's moving all over the place! Now we start the two week rotation at the doctors office! We're in the third trimester!! Woo Hoo!  I'm weighing in at 176!
Here's the 3 new additions to the family:
Kim is 28 weeks and 1 day with Giuliana and Hollie is almost 18 weeks with baby GIRL and baby BOY!!!! We just found out the sex of the twins!!

Monday Monday!

Hi there!! I'm trying to stick with my promise of posting Sophia's homework and highlights from her school days :) So, on Friday of last week here's her homework (Which is technically not homework, she does it at school):

Soo, highlights from Friday! Sophia had a big day, first of all we almost missed the bus!!! Now, we have roughly 55 minutes in the morning to "get it together". Which should be plenty of time to get up, get dressed, eat, potty, brush teeth and fix hair... right? Well, WRONG! First it takes awhile to eat breakfast, apparently! Like 30 minutes long.. lol... then we have to throw in play time with the new kitten (courtesy of Manu) here's mittens:

Soo, since we have to add in the extra curricular adventures, we just about missed the bus! When I did my last time check for that morning we should have been close, not past the bus time! It was 6:58!! Which is in the RED ZONE!! Bus can show up anytime between 6:55-7:05. I was praying that she would be running just a tad bit late but as fate would have it.. she was early! So I hauled butt and chased her down! She finally stopped at the church and Soph jumped on the bus. It was the absolute sweetest thing to see her little legs running to get on that bus!! Now keep in mind, the school is about 4 or 5 minutes from my house. So when we got to the church... we were about 2 minutes, at the most, from the school :) It doesn't matter, my kid wants to ride that bus!! ha ha!!

Then, after that fiasco, Soph had a good day at school. She definitely wasn't hungry because she ended up eating breakfast twice. Once at home and then again at school. lol. Which is fine but we can eliminate breakfast at home and replace that time slot with kitten time. Which we did that today and it worked perfectly!!

Sophia was also super excited because she was going to Aunt Nannie and Uncle Kips! She spent the night with them Friday night, went to the football game to watch Ali cheer and stayed up late playing in a bubble bath!! Not to mention, she had all the candy, drinks and fun one little 5 year old could handle! She went swimming with the Melendez's on Saturday and phew... she was on cloud 9! She wanted to stay for 10 days ;) I told her... um, let's just stay for 1. Well she wasn't happy with that but she settled for it once she realized it was 1 or nothing!!!

So let's back up another day, Thursday 8/14/14. Sophia had a very sweet surprise waiting on her when she got off the bus :)

The bus driver thought it was her birthday and I said, "Nope! They just wanted to surprise her!" :) She was definitely surprised!!

Now to fast forward to the weekend... Mike's been working on Giuliana's shelves and folks I believe we are almost done with this monster!!
I'm so excited about this! We've had the entertainment center since early 2013! It was going to be for Gabe's room. Well, we've hung on to it and hung on to it... it broke 3 times and Mike painted it a million times... and now! Wah Lah!! It's together and looking great!!!
Sunday night "chill time". I love this little girl so much and I am so happy that God let us have her!! I cherish every minute and try my best not to ever take anything for granted! :)

Another day of school and artwork! :)

Welp, yesterday I picked Sophia up from school because I was there attending a PTO meeting... when we got into the car she wasn't talking and had a sulky look on her face. I immediately started the English inquisition; what's wrong? Was someone mean? What happened? Why are you upset? Talk to me!!! Only to find out that she was upset because she wasn't riding the bus home... :) LOL. My kid, my comedian. I love her!

Here's the latest... I don't know if I will post every day's artwork but I'm on a roll right now and I'll keep it going as long as I can!

First day on the bus (8/11/14)

Sophia was so extremely excited to ride the bus yesterday. She got up when I woke her up early. She chugged her cereal down and she was dressed and ready to go! So we headed down the road to our make shift bus stop and we stood outside the car and waited on bus #5!

Sophia insisted that I get a picture of her back pack... she loves monster high :)

Then we saw it a comin'! Here came big yellow! The bus arrived and Sophia's smile was such a sight to see! She ran to the bus and jumped right on! All the while, forgetting that Mommy had her lunch. So I yelled to Sophia, "Your lunch!" She came running back out of the bus and grabbed her lunch! Nope, no kisses or hugs or for me. She just wanted her sandwich... LOL.
I did however, stop her long enough to snap a picture of her with her bus driver.

This past weekend we had some company! Jana, Kenneth, Kolbi and Kellan came by for a visit!
And of course, I must add the picture of my "jello shot"! :)
Now I'm caught up to Monday! Here's Sophia's school work from yesterday!

Notice the heart by her name... I think she loves the bus :)
Workin on them 2's!

Highlights from Day 2: Sophia didn't take a nap... lol. She did take a nap on the first day of school but we think that might be because she didn't eat her lunch and she was exhausted! Sooo on her second day of school, she made sure to eat her lunch! ;)

Reporting out from Sophia's first day of school!

As I'm waiting in the "pick-up your kid" line. I saw a lady with a microphone and she read the sign I had hanging in my car, "Sophia Dempsey!" Then there she was waiting to be picked up! Soph doesn't have to know I waited in that line for about 40 minutes. I wanted to make sure I got her!!!

Sooo, first thing she says," Mommy, I forgot my lunch box in the classroom!" So, I pulled up and she went and grabbed her lunch box. :) Then we were off! The highlights from her first day:

- She dropped her sandwich on the floor at lunch time and didn't get to eat it. She didn't even get a bite!!! She ended up eating her apples and had her fruit roll up at snack... :( I asked her if she was starving and she said, "nope".  Plus, I forgot to put her caprisun in her lunch box :( dang it!! Luckily she had her water bottle!! Which takes me to a mental note for me, send back up lunch money for just in case!! Ok, got it!

- Sophia wanted to write Sophia Dempsey on her paper and she started too but the teacher asked her not too. She just wanted her to write Sophia! This kind of confused Soph. She wanted to write both her names... :)

- She loved seeing Sawyer and Jaidyn. Her friends that are in other classrooms. Although, the kids she met today in her class were very nice and very talkative. She said that one girl kept talking even after the teacher told her not too! Soph said, "that girl didn't even raise her hand!"

- Sophia was not happy that her teacher told her she couldn't ride the merry-go-round. lol. Her teacher said she had to play on that with her parents.. this was probably the biggest and most important item that she'll share with everyone! :) ha ha

- Last thing, I drew a heart on her napkin and wrote I love you inside her napkin. She was not impressed. She asked me to not write on her napkin. She likes her napkins clean. ha ha!!

Here's her work for the day!
Sophia tried to write Dempsey and Mrs. Woods said for her not to worry about it... :) She only wanted them to write their first names.

This is a little girl that doesn't like school and doesn't want to be there. I asked Sophia if that little girl was her and she said, "NO WAY!!"
Starting from Left to Right. A house, milkshakes, lady bug, tear from giant Louie, more houses.
